Yummy potatoes!
These are a great pantry item that are always good to have on hand. Tastes nice and cheesy!
The bake method of preparation takes a bit more effort but tastes better than the stove top method.
I decrease the amount of hot water and add an equal amount of whole milk to make them richer.
The expiration date on the package was 9 months from the time I purchased the product.
Tastes like homemade, easy to bake
Quick and easy to make, tastes homemade. Don’t try to cook these on top of the stove, use the baking method in a 2qt casserole or baking dish. It mixes better if you pour the boiling water into the casserole/baking dish then whisk the sauce packet ingredients into the boiling water first, then mix in the 2 Tbs. butter/margarine, then the potatoes, then the milk. Mix together and bake at 350°F for about 55 min., then let it cool for 15 min or so as it thickens.
You can also add to and tweak these scalloped potatoes - for example, mix in 1/4 c. minced onion or a couple crushed or minced garlic cloves. Or add an extra 1/4 c. milk if you like it creamier. Have fun experimenting.

Good product, terrible price!
Not sure what gives with the pricing here, I won’t be ordering this again, but the white mac & cheese is a great product. Tasty! So is the regular orange box.
Just okay
Like many of the other reviewers stated, if you prepare the product as instructed, it ends up a bit watery and not very cheesy tasting. Sure, you can add additional cheese or doctor-up the sauce, but why buy a premium mac-and-cheese if you need to do that?
BEST STUFF ON EARTH!
If you have kids (and even if you don’t, but you enjoy indulging your own inner child on occasion), this is the perfect low cost meal for you. It’s healthy, nutritious and yummy.
Great product for a wholesome diet
This pasta is great, although I personally prefer the tubular macaroni shape to the shells. I agree that it’s a bit watery as prepared, so I usually use dried milk and a bit of water, or just half the milk. It could use more cheese sauce, the reviewer who adds half a cup of shredded cheese seems to have the right idea, but then I love my cheese!
yummy with yogurt
We love making this “mac and cheese” using yogurt instead of milk and butter. That makes it very thick and creamy. The shells are a nice variation on macaroni, gathering more cheese in the “insides”. The ingredients list on the box is also much simpler and “wholesome” than the name brand mac and cheese. (Though we usually need to make 2 or three boxes to feed all the kids.)

old fashioned comfort food
I know how to cook fresh food, but have a soft spot for this product.
Sometines you just want one of the original “fast foods” that your mother/grandmother heated up. Great with any kind of meat.
We love these!
We make these all the time and especially when having BBQ ribs or chicken. The rich cheesy taste of the potatoes works well with the hearty BBQ sauce. My daughter and I also like them cold right out of the refrigerator! I like how they provide instructions for making two packages at a time, which we usually do, and they also give times for different cooking temperatures in case you have something else in the oven that needs a lower temperature.
Terrible!
Whatever you do, don’t buy these! Honestly, there’s less salt in the Dead Sea, no kidding! The taste is atrocious if you can get past the salt. When you prepare them, all the liquid ingredients separate, and you’re just left to keep stirring these things that resemble plastic saucers. There just are no redeeming qualities at all for this dish. To make it blunt, I bought two of these boxes at the local grocery and donated the other one to the food pantry! Try something else - your body will definitely thank you!

Betty Crocker Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes
These are great. They’re not like the instant potatoes I grew up with years ago. The flavor and texture are a new generation of good food. I like them as a topping for Shepherd’s Pie and are quick and easy to fix. I like my mashed potatoes a bit firmer so next time I will decrease the water slightly. Mix up a batch and enjoy!
Favorite Fast Potatoes
Betty Crocker Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes are a favorite for my family and myself. I make them in the microwave in about 5 minutes. I like keeping a supply of these in my pantry, so I can have good mashed potatoes whenever I want. I can make home made mashed potatoes from scratch easy enough, but I haven’t been able to get that good garlic taste, even when I add mashed roasted garlic to the potatoes. The other varieties of Betty Crocker Potatoes are also very good. I usually serve these potatoes as a side dish along with meat and gravy, but if there are any left, I will snack on them later, reheating them right out of the fridge.

this was great for a snack, or used as a dip has enough flavor but would be better with a sauce packet
Excellent product, only one problem
Great taste, the different componenets each was as expected. The only problem is that it is very difficult to remove the plastic covering over the bowl. I don’t know why they made so tough, if it didn’t taste so good I would have given up!!
Rather soupy
While tasty, you’ll probably want to add tortilla chips and use it more as a dip than a meal in itself.
do we need the Z?
I was happy to finally have my favorite Taco Bell flavors here in my home, ready to microwave when I’m up at 3a.m. watching Million Dollar Duck, but I don’t know if I appreciate the deliberate misspelling of “bowls” Who is the spell checker at Taco bell, Prince? Was it 2 hard 4 you to spell this correctly? This isn’t 1990, Taco Bell. I get it- Sante fe bowls are hip, they’re happening, and they are indeed hot literally and figuratively. I will not be talked down to by your product, though. I’m a grown-up with grown-up tastes, and I’ll never have the taste for a mess of “bowlz”. Fix this!
Great to store at work
I keep these in my desk at work so that I have lunch whenever needed. They don’t taste too bad and have a good protein to fat content ratio. Definitely would recommend since Amazon has the cheapest price when you subscribe.

Really Bad
I keep hearing about how wonderful is Annie’s pasta so I tried this product. A big mistake. The sauce is extremely SALTY. I should not have purchase this product as now I have so many boxes remaining. I’ll just keep the pasta and toss out the sauce packets. Stay away if you do not like your food over-salted.
Great. If yours is too watery…
return macaroni and sauce to pan and heat until desired consistency is reached.
I find that the flavor of Annie’s is really much better than anything else out there. Not too salty with a great cheese taste.
The taste is not for me
I honestly don’t care for the taste of the white cheddar. It was too bland and chalky for me (not smooth and creamy). My husband is finishing the case for me since he is not picky about food as long as it is made for him. The shells were yummy and when cooked long enough I found them to have a nice consistency and were tasty without the white cheddar sauce. Don’t forget to mix the power and the milk together before adding the pasta, I know it is on the box but who takes the time to read the box?
My favorite flavor is the Alfredo.
